What works with what

Motorola kept one Mod connector for the life of the line, so almost every Mod works with almost every phone. The exceptions are the 5G Mod, which needed a Verizon Z2 or later, and the shells, which are cut per model.

Shells and the vehicle dock are model-specific: they fit the chassis they were cut for, not every Moto Z.
